Who Are You Really?

Who are you? When you really sit and think about it….who are you? What traits contribute to the makeup of you? What do you enjoy? What do you despise? What experiences have you had? Do you define them as good, bad, or different? Who has spoken into you or down on you? What things have built you up? What things have torn you down? When the sun rises and sets, what things can you definitely say about yourself? Think about it.

"My point is, regardless of all the noise and swaying distractions around you, you MUST know who you are. No matter the situation, remember it isn't your signature. No matter the challenge, remember it is not your forever. And no matter what others may push you to be, there is only one you."

We live in a day and age where there is so much identity overload. Social Media reminds us of all the things we are not or of what we do and do not possess. Television shows us families with seemingly perfect portrals and leave us wondering or comparing. Pandemic Pressure has said that everyone should have used the time to figure out how to launch 15 different businesses, pay down debt, and have amazing selfcare; when truly we all just needed the time to catch up, breath, and some of us grieve those lost.

My point is, regardless of all the noise and swaying distractions around you, you MUST know who you are. No matter the situation, remember it isn't your signature. No matter the challenge, remember it is not your forever. And no matter what others may push you to be, there is only one you.

So this week, I challenge you to be yourself. Trust your gifting. Trust God. And seek Him above all else. It is the only compass in a crazy world of chaos, comparison, and constraint.

Who are you? A child of the Most High King, fearfully and wonderfully made!
